General Questions

What types of Smartphones do you repair?

We repair all smartphones available in the market including Apple, HTC, Samsung, Motorola, Blackberry, Nokia and Huawei smartphones.

I tried repairing my smartphone myself, can I still bring it in for repair or diagnostic?

Yes, no problem, please walk in to the store and bring your device, or mail it to us.

I have multiple issues with my smartphone, can I get a deal on multiple repairs?

Yes you can, give us a call and describe your problem and we will see what we could do for you.

How long does a repair take?

Generally, repairs take 25-30 minutes, unless repair technician indicates otherwise.

Are all fees and taxes included in the quoted price?

Yes, our repair and service prices include parts, labor and taxes. Prices are straight forward and absolute totals unless otherwise indicated by a technician if changes are needed.

Do you service with the parts that customers bring in?

We do all repairs with the parts that we carry inhouse. This assures quality parts backed by our company warranty.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Walk-ins are welcomed but we can not gurantee a fast turn around time on the repair. Most all repairs are done by appointment only, and are reccomended to be done this way. This assures inventory availability and timely repairs. You can quickly and easily make an appointment on our website or by calling (818) 639-3009.

Will my information get lost during/after repair?

We are not liable for any data loss. Repairs are done on the hardware of the phone, therefore, software should not be interrupted. However, we recommend that you back-up your data before coming to your appointment.

Do you repair iPhone accessories?

We do repairs exclusively on iPhones and iPads, not their accessories.

Do you provide data recovery?

Data recovery services are provided but are not guaranteed.

Do you offer Jailbreaking on iPhones and iPads?

We do NOT offer Jailbreaking services.

How can I schedule for an appointment?

Appointments can be scheduled online quickly and easily at www.iFonerepairservice.com through our ‘schedule’ tabs found at the top or bottom of our webpage.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, same-day appointments are offered on almost all of our services provided.

Are any discounts provided on multiple devices being repaired?

We will apply a 10% discount on your total if you bring more than one device for repair.

Will my warranty be void with Apple if I have my repair done??

We do not take liability for your manufactures warranty coverage. Please check with their terms and conditions regarding 3rd party work on your phone.

What type of accessories do you have for sale?

We sell a wide variety of accessories such as silicone, rubber, plastic, TPU and wallet cases; tempered glass screen protectors; colored screen protectors; screen cleaning products; power banks and external batteries; car mount holders; headphones; USB cables; and power adapters.

Mail in Questions

Do I have to include my passcode with my phone?

It is recommended. We need the passcode in order to test your phone after the repair. If you do not wish to provide your passcode, certain phone functions won’t be tested such us camera, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and therefore can’t be verified by us to work.

Do you need my SIM card?

No we do not need your SIM card but without it we cannot fully test your device.

What should I include when I am shipping my device to you?

We only need your device, do not include accessories, the original packaging as this will only increase shipping cost. Any other information we need will be provided from the mail-in form.

Can I mail in any device for repair?

You can mail-in anything listed on our site. If you have any questions or your device is not listed please call and our technicians will assist you.

Screen Repair

What is included with my repair?

You will receive what is offered as the weekly special, as well as a Life-Time Warranty.

How do you know the LCD screen is damaged?

Damaged LCD panels are easily identified with their visual characteristics: colored stripes in the picture, black puddles, bleeding colors, yellow dots and/or discoloring in screen.

Are we allowed to watch the repair being done?

Yes, you may watch the repair through our iSurgery Live Cam.

The glass on my iPhone is completely shattered and is chipping off, is the glass replacement service all I need?

Yes, the glass replacement service will replace the entire glass face, so the extent of the damage to the previous glass does not matter.

Do you install screen protectors?

Yes, we will install a screen protector with your purchase of a screen repair.

Can we wait during the repair?

Yes, you may wait while we repair your device. Better yet, you may watch while you wait.

Do you fix first-generation iPhones or first-generation iPads?

We do NOT repair first-generation iPhones or first-generation iPads.

Is cracking my screen again covered under my warranty?

Yes, we will install a screen protector with your purchase of a screen repair.

Do you sell any parts or replacement screens?

Yes, parts are available for purchase on our website. See the ‘Shop” section on our website.

How do I know if I need the LCD repair or not?

If the actual screen of the phone is bleeding, white, or has any dead pixels then you’re going to need to select the LCD & Glass option as the LCD has suffered irreversible damage. Still not sure? Send a picture of the current condition of the phone while it is powered on to support@smartfix.linethemes and we will do our best to diagnose it.

After dropping my phone it has become unresponsive to touch, does the glass repair fix this issue?

Yes, any non responsiveness your phone is suffering due to a drop will be corrected with the Glass & Digitizer repair, as the Digitizer that is being replaced is the part responsible for all touch functionality. Water Damage

What should I do if my device falls in water or another liquid?

Do not turn on your device. It’s best if you bring it the next day or even the same day, as we will have a better chance of repairing it. Of course if you can’t make it to one of our locations, try to dry it out, then bring or mail your device to one of our locations.

My device was water damaged and now everything seems to work fine except for one function, do I still need the full water damage service?

The easiest answer to that question is to simply call us at one of our locations so our technicians can diagnose the problem.

How long do water damage repairs take to complete?

Water damage repairs generally take between 24 and 72 hours to complete depending on the level of damage. This estimate can vary, however, depending on the extent of the damage to the logic board and other components.
